Self Talk - Women's Health

The fact that I have two arms, two legs and I can breath makes me a millionaire. We so often take for granted our miraculous bodies. We often focus on imperfections and dwell on minuscule things that our toughest critic (ourselves) feeds off of. We should constantly celebrate our bodies greatness to help us break through our physical and mental limitations.

The body mind and spirit are a unit. This unit is much more powerful as one piece rather than three. For example; I know that if my mind is focused and strong and I have a positive mantra; my body is on board. The same way that if my mind is not in the game my body checks out. So, if I'm running and my mind says "you have this" no matter how tired my legs are – I'm running. But, if my mind says "wow you are dust" and I am dusted. I'm done-zo.
When I think of a positive mantra to help my mind-body connection strengthen. I usually take it back. All the way back to childhood. The book: The little engine that could– for example: I think I can, I think I can. Or maybe not. Maybe I think about Cassius Clay/Muhammad Ali. "Impossible is nothing."
A Mantra is an affirmation to remind ourselves – whatever we want to remind our self of! I don't always have a mantra. But, because we all have an inner dialogue. Why not make it deliberate? After all, nobody put a DVD into our head and pressed play.
